Family Shelter Harmony House Men's Shelter Recovery J.O.B.S. New Way Program Career & Academic Serenity Complex Chapel Services

Men's Shelter

The Men’s Shelter is one of the busiest places at Crossroads Mission.  That shelter’s main purpose is to offer homeless guests a clean, comfortable bed in a safe environment.  Guests may stay for ten days each month.  During that time, the shelter staff will make sure that case management services are offered to all men who want them.  The guests will receive information about the programs and services offered by Crossroads to assist them with getting services they may need.  Each program is designed to help the individual improve their quality of life.

The Men's Shelter is open 365 days a year to those who need a clean bed, a hot meal, and a shower.

Our Goal is to restore and preserve the dignity of human beings through the love of Jesus Christ.

Besides a place to sleep, the shelter offers:

* Access to a clean, climate controlled, break room every day starting at 2 p.m.  Guests may watch TV or simply enjoy reading a book indoors.

* Showers everyday at 3 p.m. The mission provides soap, shampoo, a clean towel and a razor for all who need them.

* Free clothing is issued by voucher as needed.

*Most importantly spiritual counseling is available upon request.

*Chapel services are held every evening at 7 PM.

Area churches and volunteers provide the services each evening.

All guests are encouraged to attend the services.

The requirements for participation in shelter services are:

Males 18 years and older, with acceptable identification, are required to be sober and are given a breathalyzer at time of bed sign in.  Some individuals may be asked to submit a urinalysis prior to staying in the shelter.  The safety of all residents is a priority.  Anyone who refuses to submit to any drug or alcohol testing or anyone who is under the influence are asked if they would like to enter the recovery program.  If they do not want recovery, they are asked to leave the property and are offered a warm blanket.
