THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN:

Kitchen Coordinator

 

This is a full-time position working under the supervision of the Executive Director coordinating, managing and supervising the food service activities of the Crossroads Mission.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains records of food purchases and related items for 60 days from the date of purchase.
• Ensures compliance with foodservice related contracts and/or licenses.
• Shall be responsible for the supervision of the food service staff.
• Maintains planned menus at least one week in advance, preparing and apportioning foods; and utilizing food inventories and leftovers. Menus will be placed on file for a minimum of six months.
• Coordinates with the Executive Director any purchases and/or requisitions of foodstuff and kitchen supplies.
• Ensures the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the kitchen, related grounds and equipment.
• Assures the proper nutritional care of specific dietary needs of clients; maintaining proper temperature control, taste, texture and appearance of meals served.
• Maintain client confidentiality according to federal and state regulations, Crossroads Mission policies and procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Develops, plans and follows the plan for professional development and self-monitored skill building.
• Attends and completes all training, whether on-line, classroom, individual or other means of learning.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in a related foodservice field or a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of supervisory foodservice operations experience.

·         Obtains appropriate medical clearance.

·         Ability to meet demands of a medium work load – exerting 20 – 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 – 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds frequently.

·         Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

·         Ability to maintain an appearance and attitude which maintains a positive image of the Crossroads Mission.

·         Under qualifications: Ability to qualify as a Behavioral Health Paraprofessional according to Arizona Administrative Code R9-20-204.

·         Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance.
