Our
current Family Shelter is located
in a rented property and has less than 3,000 square feet.
In that building there is a dormitory for women who are in the
New Life Recovery Program, a 120 day
residential drug and alcohol treatment program. There's an
area for homeless women, women with children, men with children,
and families. Plus, the Career &
Academic Center, is located in the back part of the building
as well.
This year, as we celebrate our 50th
anniversary, we embark in fundraising efforts to build a brand
new building! This new building will have sufficient room
to house all three programs that operate currently out of our
Family Shelter building. We will be able to provide a
valuable service to parents in recovery. The goal is for
mothers and fathers in drug and alcohol treatment to be able to
have their children living with them while they participate in
the New Life residential recovery program.
